The Situation

TurnSignl is an app that offers on-demand legal guidance from an attorney that aimed to make sure everyone returns home safely after a traffic stop or accident. As they were beginning to rollout nationally they needed a campaign that could drive downloads to ensure that more drivers felt safe and empowered on the road. For many people, the sight of a police vehicle while driving automatically makes them tense up. But while being pulled over or being in an accident, few drivers know what rights they have on the road - if any.

The Solution

While the system isn’t fair, expanding access to legal advice can make driving equitable for everyone. But rather than launch a campaign that scared people into downloading our app, we wanted to create a rallying cry of empowerment. Knowing your rights is not always common knowledge, and understanding them has never been more important. TurnSignl empowers people to know their rights, so they not only feel confident driving, but can exercise their right to live free of fear. That’s why we turned the well known cadence and tone of our Miranda rights into personal messages of empowerment.
